To Prepare Ground Beef
If you're on a time crunch, ground beef tastes just as good while saving you so much precious time!
Heat your skillet or pan on medium-high heat. Make sure your skillet or pan is HOT.
Add 1 tbsp of oil and your ground beef to the pan. Using a wooden spatula, break down the beef into smaller pieces and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of pepper, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder over your ground beef.
Optional: For this buffalo dip recipe, you can also add 1 tbsp of buffalo wing sauce as you cook the ground beef.
Continue to break down the ground beef into smaller pieces, stirring occasionally.
Remove ground beef from heat once it is evenly browned.
To Make Buffalo Beef Cheese Dip
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Heat olive oil in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add chopped onions to the pan and sauté for 5 minutes until slightly browned and soft. Remove onions from the pan.
Mix the pre-prepared beef, onions, buffalo wing sauce, and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
Place the evenly combined mixture into a baking dish and bake at 325°F for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese and turn on broiler to high for 2 minutes till you get a beautiful golden-brown surface.
Remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly. Top with parsley and serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and tortilla chips.
Tender beef, creamy cheese, and a hint of spice from the hot sauce - it's good enough to eat on its own (and you bet we did). If your crowd is spread out across the room, separate the dip into several smaller bowls so everyone can easily reach without taking their eyes off the games!
