Updated: Jul 26
The Certified Piedmontese team has some incredibly talented and unique team members in its ranks. Our employee spotlight series highlights the individuals who help bring you the best beef on the market! First up: Monica Siebrandt, our treasured Human Resource Manager.
Q: As the Human Resource Manager for Certified Piedmontese, what are your main duties? Monica: I work with all aspects of human resources, including recruiting new talent, onboarding new employees, compensation and benefits administration, and assisting managers and employees with questions in a variety of areas.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your position? Monica: I really enjoy the people. I get to work with a wide variety of individuals, from farmers and ranchers to business professionals. I grew up on a farm, and it’s fun to mix my interest in business and my love for agriculture. Also, who doesn’t love beef?
Q: What do you like most about Certified Piedmontese?
Monica: I love that we’re working with family farms and ranches here in Nebraska (and the Midwest) to bring high-quality beef to people all over this great country. I grew up on a family farm and see the value in merging what family farms do best with what Certified Piedmontese is doing.
Q: What are three things most people don’t know about you?
Monica: 1) I keep crushed red pepper, hot sauce, and ranch here at work. You never know when you are going to need to spice up breakfast, lunch, or a snack. 2) During the summer, I like to spend time working in my garden, while singing along to Eric Church. Thankfully my neighbors are down the road, so they don’t have to hear me sing. 3) I come from a big family. Not only do I have four kids at home, but I also have five sisters, one brother, and 26 nieces and nephews. Life is crazy at times, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Q: I’m happiest when…
Monica: I’m enjoying good food and drinks with family and friends.
Q: Do you have a favorite cut of Certified Piedmontese beef? What’s your favorite way to prepare it? Monica: I love our boneless ribeye. It always exceeds my expectations—especially this time of year, when it’s fun to get outside and grill. I love a steak that’s cooked rare and just melts in your mouth. The beef sticks are quickly becoming one of my favorites as well; they’re a great, healthy snack at work or on the go!
